Guarantee & Warranty Information

Mend My iPhone

At Mend My iPhone, all repairs and services are carried out with care and are covered by a clear fault guarantee, so you know exactly where you stand.

Our guarantees are designed to be fair, transparent, and realistic — reflecting how modern devices actually behave in the real world.


Standard guarantee periods

Unless otherwise stated at the time of repair, the following guarantee periods apply:

Software-related work (computers & devices): 28 days

Samsung Screens (phones): Lifetime guarantee

Hardware repairs (phones, tablets, laptops): 12 Months

Water Damage (phones, tablets, laptops): No warranty given, our work is to restore it to a point it can be used for data retrieval and function. We do not recommend it is used as your main device once water damaged as components will have suffered damage through heat shock.

Your guarantee period starts from the date the repair is completed, not the collection date.

Where possible, repairs are completed the same day. If this isn’t achievable, you’ll be contacted as soon as your device is ready.


Reporting a fault After repair

To allow us to assess any post-repair issues quickly and accurately, we operate a 7-day fault notification window.

All devices receive a pre- and post-repair inspection to the best of our ability

If you notice a problem following a repair, you must notify us within 7 calendar days of completion

Early notification helps us determine whether an issue is related to the repair or caused by another factor

This reporting window is separate from the parts guarantee and does not affect your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.


Battery & Charging port warranty

These components are subject to heavier wear and user influence, so specific warranty periods apply:

Battery replacements: 12 months

Charging port replacements: 6 months

This applies across Apple and non-Apple devices, including laptops and tablets.

Even with high-quality OEM-grade components, long-term performance cannot be guaranteed beyond the stated warranty period.

Charging ports
Charging ports are especially vulnerable to physical strain. Damage caused by:

Forceful insertion

Cable tension

Poor-quality or non-certified chargers

is considered wear-and-tear and is not covered under warranty.

Where appropriate, we may offer a goodwill solution shortly after a warranty period expires, depending on the condition of the device and the nature of the fault.


What Will Void Your Guarantee?

We stand by our workmanship, but the guarantee will be void in the following circumstances:

1. Physical Damage After Repair

Any physical damage occurring after the repair — including drops, cracked glass, LCD bleeding, or signs of impact — will void the guarantee, even if the original fault appears unchanged.

Once physical damage occurs, parts cannot be returned to suppliers and liability cannot be accepted.


2. Frame Damage or Structural Deformation

If a device frame is bent, dented, or distorted (particularly around the display area), faults such as screen lifting or pressure damage may occur.

Where this risk exists, it will be explained before repair. Issues arising from existing structural damage are not covered.


3. Delayed Fault Reporting

Faults should be reported and devices returned promptly.

Delays that result in:

Further damage

Cracks

Display bleeding

will void the guarantee.

For software-related services, delays may prevent us from confirming whether an issue relates to the original work or subsequent use.


4. Liquid or Water Damage

Liquid damage voids warranty both before and after repair.

If water ingress is identified during inspection, you will be informed before work proceeds.

Please note:

Even if a water-affected device is temporarily repaired, long-term reliability cannot be guaranteed

Corrosion may develop later

Water damage to logic boards commonly causes delayed failures

If liquid exposure is unrelated to the repaired component, limited warranty coverage may still apply at technician discretion.


5. Tampering or Third-Party Repairs

Your guarantee is valid only if Mend My iPhone is the last party to work on the device.

Any opening, modification, or repair by:

Another repair service

will immediately void the warranty.

We use dated seals and internal markings. Evidence of tampering, missing screws, or altered fittings will invalidate coverage unless previously recorded.


Does a Warranty Reset After a Repair?

No. All guarantees run from the original repair date.

If further work is required during the warranty period, this does not extend or reset the original guarantee.

In rare cases, where a fault occurs shortly after the warranty ends, a limited extension may be offered at our discretion as a goodwill gesture.

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.


Water Resistance Disclaimer

Devices advertised as waterproof or water-resistant cannot be guaranteed to retain those properties after repair. While seals are preserved or replaced where possible, opening a device may compromise factory water resistance — including IP-rated devices.

For this reason:

Water damage is not covered under warranty after repair. There is NO guarantee provided for devices that are revcovered from water damage. Any device that has been water damaged and made to work again should be backed up as soon as possioble and should ideally not be used without that safeguard as it's lifespan wil very likely be shortened as a result of the damage.

Caution around liquids is always advised

Manufacturer warranties regarding water resistance remain separate from our repair guarantee.


Booking Deposits

For online bookings, a £10 deposit is required and are non-refunadable. They are your committment to book time with us and if you choose to cancel with less than 24 hours notice we cannot always refill that space that has been reserved.

This deposit:

Secures your appointment time

Covers postage if parts need to be ordered

Is non-refundable for same-day cancellations

Prevents unused or non-genuine booking slots
