Sscreen Replacement Costs of an iPad

Why use us ?

We have been replacing iPad screens for 15 years. We have used the same supplier for the last 10 years because of the high quality and this allows us to offer a 12 month warranty.

Mend My iPhone

Yes they can.  The repair cost varies by model. The standard range can be repaired by replacing the top glass if the TV part works fully. However the Air, Pro and Mini versions have bonded glass to LCD screens and this means that the whole front needs replacnig which comes at a much higher cost.

All iPad screen replacement times vary. We only keep the standard screens in stock so any of the other models need to be ordered in for the next day, but typically we allow 4 hours for a repair to make sure the frame is cleaned and prepared to bond the new screen.

Yes we offer a 12 month warranty on all our screens. We have used the same  supplier for 10 years as he back his sales to us with a warranty allowing us to pass this on to you. If they don’t last a year and perform as you’d expect we’ll replace it Free of Charge.

We prefer you to book as we don’t always have the screens in stock and as an iPad repair is a fairly time consuming process we like customers to book so we can schedule the job properly. You can drop it off without an appointment if you are not in an immediate rush to have it back.

Signs That Your iPad Screen Needs Repair

Sometimes, the signs of a damaged iPad screen may not be immediately apparent. However, there are several indicators that can help you determine whether your screen needs repair. One common sign is visible cracks or shattered glass on the screen. These cracks can range from minor hairline fractures to larger, more noticeable breaks.

Broken or cracked glass screen

One common sign is visible cracks or shattered glass on the screen. These cracks can range from minor hairline fractures to larger, more noticeable breaks.

Dead pixels on the screen

Another sign is the presence of dead pixels or black spots on the screen. Dead pixels are pixels that no longer display any color and appear as black dots on the screen. These can be caused by physical damage or internal issues. Additionally, if your screen is unresponsive to touch or if you notice strange patterns or lines appearing on the display, it’s a clear indication that there is a problem with the screen.

Screen flicker or ink bleeding is a sign

Furthermore, if your iPad’s screen is flickering, has distorted colors, or is displaying a dim backlight, these are all signs that the screen requires repair. It’s important to address these issues promptly to prevent further damage and ensure the optimal performance of your device. But this is an LCD repair rather than glass on some iPads. You’ll need to talk to us for a more detailed repair cost depending on which model it is.

  1. Apply a screen protector: A screen protector can add an extra layer of protection against scratches and minor impacts.
  1. Avoid placing heavy objects on your iPad: Be mindful of where you place your iPad to prevent accidental damage from heavy objects.
  1. Handle your iPad with care: Always handle your iPad with clean hands and be cautious when carrying or using it.
  1. Avoid extreme temperatures: Keep your iPad away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature environments to prevent screen damage.
  1. Clean your screen properly: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and non-abrasive cleaning solutions specifically designed for electronics to clean your screen.
  1. Educate children about proper iPad usage: If you have children who use your iPad, teach them how to handle it safely and responsibly.
